A disclaimer of some kind should go here, that a) everything within is fiction. b) mentions of...what?? suicide, violence, trauma, etc? this website is telling pieces of a story. it is not a Rated G story.

The path leading up to the townhouse is slate riddled with purslane, dandelions, and clover. The narrow steps are lined with herb pots, and the small porch has enough space for a few window boxes that are just beginning to flower, mostly with violet blues and pale purples.
The yard is small, but studded with plants and ornamentation, wind chimes and dangling tin-cuts, the sort of thing picked up at craft fairs and yard sales. There's the sound of a cat meowing from inside, and Mark, fumbling with keys, grins, clucks her tongue, and beckons you up.
"S'not the- the end of the world, if she gets out, she's, ah, getting a bit - a bit old and sslow, but - unless you're gonna hang out here, we wanna keep her inside. Up - up to you, she loves the...the afternoon sun, y'know?"
Mark gets the door open, and heads inside, leaving you a moment to get your bearings and soak up the afternoon sun - or, if you're standing by the tree, enjoy the dappled shade. But if you wait for a few moments more, you start to wonder if your senses are playing tricks on you. The shade shifts, then vanishes; the smell of hot asphalt nudges into hot sand for a moment, and the house itself changes, for a moment decoupled from the other townhomes. The meowing ceases, and instead you see a sign on the window - advertising some kind of...cutlery?

Other ideas to implement
Art for this, in particular. Dividing line images. A floral side image of bluebells, probably. consider also forget-me-nots for somewhere. probably a lot. maybe an actual image of a bookshelf with links, somehow?????????????? maybe the cover of the floral language books, an image of that leading to them. the vintage books are really nice for the aesthetic here
